Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire where she studied at the Dragon School. At the age of six, Emma realized that she wanted to be an actor and for several years, she was a student at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school in which she was taught the art of acting and dancing. As part of a school production and the stage of a Stagecoach Production, Emma was the lead at the age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was cast in the year 1999. Emma was discovered by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been picked for these roles. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first cinematic appearance was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. The film broke records for beginning-day and weekend-opening sales as well as being the most-grossing feature of the year 2001. It was highly acclaimed by reviewers, and so were the performances of its three actors. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British paper, called Emma's acting "amazing". Emma's performance was nominated and was awarded five awards in the film.
