Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. Parents include Manny James, and Patty James. His father is Nigerian while his mom is is caucasian-American. He graduated from Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with an undergraduate degree in Economics at Wake Forest University. James first became famous by his character on The Bachelorette's reality star. In 2020 he got selected to play the role of bachelor on The Bachelor's season 25 becoming The first African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James has the right look for the part. He's tall and handsome, with an innate attitude. Rachael Krukconnell turned into his love interest at the conclusion of the season. James was paired with dancer Arnold who was popular during the time, to take part in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold finished 12th.
